What we collect
When you vote, we collect the coffee shop’s name, city and country, Instagram handle, your comment and the time the vote was submitted. Our hosting and security providers may also process routine technical information, such as an IP address, browser information and request logs, to deliver the site and prevent abuse.
Why we use it
We use submitted information to count and verify votes, identify the correct coffee shop, calculate rankings, investigate suspicious activity, contact winning coffee shops and understand broad themes about why customers value them.
Comments
Comments are required to support vote quality. PCCA does not publish them verbatim or provide raw comments to coffee shops. We may create aggregate summaries or editorial insights that do not identify an individual voter. Please do not include your own name, contact details or another person’s private information in a comment.
Public results
We publish a ranked list of the leading coffee shops and name one winner each month. The number of places recognised may vary according to participation. We do not publish the number or percentage of votes received by any coffee shop.
Sharing
Information may be processed by service providers that host, secure or maintain the website. We do not sell voting data. We may disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the integrity, rights or safety of PCCA, FLTR Magazine or others.
How long we keep it
Voting records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to administer the awards, verify or correct results, resolve disputes and maintain an appropriate record of the competition. Information may then be deleted or converted into anonymous statistical information.
Cookies and tracking
This version of the site does not use advertising cookies or an FLTR newsletter sign-up. Essential technical storage may be used where required for security and reliable operation.
